Recognizing the signs and symptoms of facial nerve palsy is important in ensuring your patient gets access to timely and appropriate treatment. 

We are primarily a surgical reconstruction clinic. Please ensure work-up and diagnosis of the facial palsy is complete prior to referring to our clinic. In particular, it is important to rule out both intracranial and parotid gland pathology (tumours, trauma, etc) prior to sending a referral.  If you are unsure please contact one of our physicians directly.
